Bagyong Sendong hits Cagayan De Oro City and Iligan City

For many places 4 days to go they will be celebrating Christmas. On the other hand, there is a small place here in the Philippines that doesn't feel the spirit of Christmas because of the tragic event happen to them. Just recently, Bagyong Sendong hits Cagayan De Oro City and Iligan City at midnight time when everyone fall asleep. They are all shocked and surprised by the flood who just rushes to their houses, all they could was just run. Some of them, didn't survive for this tragic event and some are still missing.

For the season of Christmas, let's all work in hand in helping our fellow brothers and sisters who were affected by this calamity.

SENDONG RELIEF OPS UPDATE (from all sectors):

FOOD DONATIONS: Please be informed that there a number of our Muslim brothers and sisters that were affected by Sendong as well. Hence, AVOID sending PORK canned goods as much as possible as they will not eat it.

CLOTHING DONATIONS: While a number of OLD clothes were donated, they also need NEW underwear as well especially women and children. Sleepin...g mats and blankets are very much welcome!

TRAUMA COUNSELING: This is an urgent NEED as well for those who survived and lost their loved ones. We have very few psychologists and counselors in CDO and Iligan.

DONATING MADE EASY: Still many are UNAWARE that even LBC accepts donations to be delivered for FREE. Kindly encourage everyone to give during this Season of Hope.

And for those who are willing to donate some cash you can send it to:

Making my Christmas Wish List for 2011

December is here and Christmas is just around the corner. I am here making my wish list hoping that someone will give it to me. hahahaha. Anyways I'd like to post it, just like anyone so that you wont have headache in thinking what would you like to give me and no more worries if I want it or not.

Wishing on Christmas that Santa Claus will give me this. All I want for Christmas are the following:

1. New Shoes

I only have 1 pair of shoes for my work, sadness so poor of me. I am only using the same shoes the from Monday to Friday. But I know I am still lucky because I still have shoes that covers my feet. So thank you Lord.

2. New Bag

I've been working for almost a year now, but still I could not afford to buy my own bag. I'd like to have a bigger bag, which I could put all my teaching stuff.

3. DSLR Cam

It has been my wish and dream to have DSLR Cam, but since its too expensive all I can do is just to look at it and stare.

4. Lappy

Next year I'll be in study mode, hopefully pursue my Master's still dont know. I still need to budget my finances and see if I can afford to go on masters.

So much with the wish list, all I really want for Christmas is Love love love and love... Lots of love to everyone. I have to close my eyes and think of Love and love and love...

A Christmas Wish list for everyone

It’s hard enough to put all the perfect Christmas gifts, plus the efforts should be doubled when you are asked to buy presents for the people that matters most. Then you can add the dilemma of which gifts that you could buy for each of them.

Today, I would like to make difference. That this Christmas season will be free of worries. Therefore, I’ll be preparing a Christmas wish for everyone. It’s not only for myself but all the people that surround me.

For those who are affected by the typhoon and a victim of tragedy and massacre. My wish is to make you strong and give you more strength in surviving this dark side of life. To my enemy and for those whom I’ve hurt, I asked for forgiveness in your kind heart. To my friends, co-workers and fellow classmates, I wish you courage and more wisdom. For my relatives and family, I wish for healthy and bountiful blessings for the years to come. For my dear son I wish you the best in life. Moreover, for myself I only wish respect and love to come in the next year.

I just hope I could wrap up all of this and send it to the concerns. This may not be gifts but surely, it’s a warm loving thoughts to send. As the old wise axiom says, it’s the thoughts that counts.

Expenses.. Bills.. Payments.

Its Monday time, it’s for me to check all the bills that I need to pay. Too many expenses this holiday. In addition, I have to add on my budget a Christmas shopping, if there is extra money for shopping. I should not set aside the tuition fee for my kid and a payment for my loan. OMG, my savings is draining now and I still do not have income. I even don’t have a paying job. However, I need to live with it; I need to keep on moving with my life.

I don’t want to be put in jail just because I did not pay my bills or any other expenditures. I know in time I will have work and have the capacity to pay all this bills. For the meantime, I just have to sacrifice some of my extra money for these holidays. Once am done with this, all things will be ok. I will not look on some attractive things to buy on. I will not go to malls or any bazaar for the meantime. Ill just to stay at home and enjoy the time while am with my family. That would be the best thing for me to save on these holidays.
